Welcome to the world of Yiddish Summer!

Following last year’s successful launch of YSW goes Erfurt, both residents and visitors to the city can look forward in 2016 to an exciting program with lots of variety each week, including concerts of world-class ensembles in the Alte Synagoge and Jam Sessions in the Jewish Community Center, in the Speicher and in the Zughafen.
The highlight this summer will undoubtedly be a performance of the first international theater production created by Yiddish Summer, Bobe Mayses – Yiddish Knights and Other Impossibilities, all about the medieval Jewish knight Bovo D’Antona. What better place to stage a performance of this new work than Erfurt, with its Jewish history stretching back to the Middle Ages?
