Georg Brinkmann (D; clarinet, voice, dance leader)

has toured from Sydney to New York with the klezmer ensembles huljet, nu, Vasage Klezmer Trio, and knakl. His current projects include Brinkmann & Spehl and a jazz/nigun project that he is in the process of developing. He is also a sought-after classical musician and improviser and accompanist for storytellers. He teaches at international klezmer festivals, is artistic director of the Bonn Klezmer Festival (Bonner Klezmertage), and gives talks on klezmer music. He has also developed a successful program to teach children about Jewish music.
